Mega Mall Bucharest project receives building permit, construction to start next year

The Mega Mall project, developed by Real 4 You Group on the site of the former Electroaparataj factory in Bucharest, has obtained its building permit.
This allows the Austrian developer to start construction work next year.
Mega Mall will have a leasable area of approximately 70,000 sqm, with some of the spaces already taken by Carrefour, Flanco, Altex, C&A, H&M, Kenvelo, Lee Cooper, Celio, Lashez, Office Shoes, etc.
“We are very proud that Mega Mall has received the <green light> from the authorities, this being both a positive signal for the retail market and consumption trends, as well as a confirmation of confidence in the project. Construction will start next year; contracts with anchors are already signed and we are in advanced negotiations for the entertainment and food court area, as well as with medium-sized international fashion brands,” says Simina Istrate, Associate Director in the retail department of Colliers International.
Besides the project in the Capital, Real 4 You Group announced that it will develop a Mega Mall in Satu Mare, Focsani, and Targu Mures, but these will have areas between 18,000 and 22,000 sqm, to be anchored by a supermarket or a hypermarket.
