The Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism (MEAT) has obtained all approvals related to the funding of Measure 2 – Working Capital Grants and will unlock the third tranche of payments from this EU-funded state aid scheme, worth EUR 241 million.
“We advise beneficiaries to sign the financing contracts in a timely manner. We remind you that the deadline for signing the financing contract is 20 days from the date the contract arrives at the bank. If the contracts are signed as soon as possible by the beneficiaries, the first payments will be made starting from the middle of next week. The order of payments is based on the identification numbers in the Unique Electronic Register (RUE number). The RUE number estimated to be reached in this tranche is around 16,000. To date, payments have been made up to RUE 9,633,” the MEAT press release states.
Since January, the Minister of Economy, Claudiu Năsui, warned that the budget for these measures was supplemented in 2020 without coverage.
In this context, MEAT has undertaken several actions this year to unlock the EU fund resources necessary for the successful completion of this state aid scheme and to speed up payments.
The Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism manages the state aid scheme established by GEO 130 of July 31, 2020, regarding measures for granting financial support from non-reimbursable external funds, related to the Competitiveness Operational Program 2014-2020, in the context of the crisis caused by COVID-19.
