US Ambassador: Romania can become an attractive destination for Americans, but better promotion is needed

The United States Ambassador to Bucharest, Hans Klemm, stated during a tour of central Bucharest that Romania has great potential to become an attractive destination for American tourists, but better promotion of the country is needed.
"I believe Romania has great potential to become an attractive destination for American tourists. It already is, but the potential for a greater understanding of Romania by America is there," the American diplomat stated in Revolution Square.
The American diplomat also said that better promotion of Romania is needed to attract tourists, specifying that such campaigns could be coordinated either by the resort industry or by the government. 
The US Embassy awarded the entrepreneur of the month for October on Thursday, the winner of the title being the company Bucharest Walks, which organizes guided tours through Bucharest. After the ceremony, the ambassador enjoyed a tour through central Bucharest, from the House of Scientists in Lahovari Square to the Kretzulescu Church.
