Tourists visiting the Crișul Repede Defile will enjoy a more comfortable experience thanks to the development of three modern campsites. Work on the new spaces recently commenced and is scheduled for completion within 5 months.
The Vice President of the Bihor County Council, Mircea Mălan, visited the locations selected for the campsites, situated in the communes of Bratca, Șuncuiuș, and Vadu Crișului. Each campsite will offer a range of modern facilities tailored to the needs of contemporary tourists.

The project is being implemented by the Bihor County Council in partnership with the National Agency for Protected Natural Areas and local town halls. Funding is provided through European funds, with the total contract value amounting to 8.527 million RON, including VAT.
In addition to the campsites, the project also includes the development of 5 caves (2 for public access and 3 for speleotourism), and the desilting of Lake Vida in the Dobrești commune (where a campsite with 4 gazebos and a multifunctional building will be developed).
The Bihor County Council is currently running two other similar projects: the setup of an ecological education camp in the Natura 2000 Muntele Șes site and the development of a cave in the Tășad site of community importance.
These projects will contribute to capitalizing on the area’s tourism potential and promoting sustainable tourism.
