The Romanian fast-food chain Fryday will expand rapidly this year, planning to reach 15 units in 2024 as it competes with major international fast-food chains.
The Fryday chain has recorded significant growth, reaching nine restaurants. Additionally, last year it generated business worth 28.6 million RON in 2023, double the amount from the previous year.
Recently, a new restaurant was inaugurated in Vaslui. It focuses on the burgers and fries segment and directly competes with the top players in the market. The new restaurant is equipped with drive-thru facilities, adapting to the growing consumer demand for fast services.
The investment for the new restaurant in Vaslui exceeded 1.5 million EUR, with the location spanning an area of 1,400 square meters of land and 300 square meters of building.
The company Albina Restaurante, which operates under the Fryday brand, reported a turnover of 13 million RON and a net profit of 1.1 million RON in 2022.
With ambitious plans for the current year, Fryday is set to open three new restaurants between April and June 2024. These will be opened in malls in Pitești, Galați, and Sibiu. The total investment amounts to over 1.3 million EUR.
The chain’s founder, Suceava-based entrepreneur Lucian Florea, aims to reach 15 units by the end of the year. This expansion will include cities such as Galați, Pitești, Sibiu, Cluj, and Constanța.
The restaurant chain has units located in malls in Bucharest, Iași, Timișoara, Târgu Mureș, Oradea, Alba Iulia, Craiova, and Arad, as well as street-front restaurants with drive-thru services.
