The deadline for holiday vouchers from previous years is June 30, 2022

Reservations using holiday vouchers issued between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2020, have a deadline of June 30, 2022.

Between January and May 2022, the value of holiday vouchers was 190 million EUR, and their number exceeded 19.7 million.

Holiday vouchers issued this year can be used if the amounts have been transferred to the card. The chosen destinations can only be in Romania, with at least one night of accommodation that must be booked only by their holder. The complete tourist package can contain catering services, spa treatments, transport, and optional tourist programs offered by licensed travel agencies.

Vouchers can be granted by state companies, where there is a limit of 1450 RON/person/year, but also by private ones, where the value can be up to the equivalent of 6 minimum salaries per year.

Their value for the entire year is around 350 million EUR.

They contribute to the development of domestic tourism and are approved for annual issuance for 5 years (2022-2026).

One of the objectives is for at least 1 million private sector employees, representing approximately 25%, to be able to benefit from vouchers.

As a measure to stimulate domestic tourism, ANAT has requested the Government to apply a zero tax rate for holiday vouchers or another modern tax credit formula.

The value of holiday vouchers granted last year to private sector employees was approximately 50 million EUR.
