Teleferic Sinaia Auctions Its Assets

The cable transport installations, buildings, structures, facilities, and land comprising the Teleferic Sinaia asset have been put up for sale through an auction. The company entered insolvency in 2016. The starting price is EUR 3.33 million, or RON 17 million, and the participation guarantee amounts to approximately RON 1.7 million.

The asset consists of the double cable cars at the 1,400 and 2,000 altitudes, the chairlift connecting the two altitudes, the chairlift and ski lift at Valea Dorului, plus land with a total area of 7,400 sqm.

The cable transport installations are sold complete with stations, support poles, traction motors, electrical equipment, cable and gearing systems, vehicles, surveillance systems, and control and access installations. The two cable cars were built in 1970.

During the period of October 2021 – January 2022, the company Teleferic Prahova SA recorded a turnover of RON 6.15 million and expenses of RON 4.6 million.

The majority shareholder of the company is Prosperya Financial Management SRL, with 92.6% of the capital. This is controlled by Consiglia Management Intl SRL, with 75.5% of the social shares. At Consiglia, the main associate is Smart Financial Services SRL (70%), an entity where Adrian Sarbu is the sole shareholder and administrator.

Last year, in the autumn, Teleferic Prahova SA received a purchase offer for the buildings and land of the Clabucet chairlift stations in Predeal from the company Abandon Entertainment SRL. The company’s creditors decided in November 2021 to postpone a decision until clarifications regarding the properties subject to the offer were presented.
