Romania’s Tourism Marketing Strategy to be Launched in August

At the end of next month, the marketing strategy for Romanian tourism will be launched, a project aimed at reconceptualizing key forms of tourism, including rural, adventure, and health and wellness tourism, stated the President of the National Authority for Tourism (ANT), Anca Pavel-Nedea.
“The strategy seeks to maximize the application of previous strategies, define new directions and, above all, replace currently non-functional mentalities and working tools with a new, innovative spirit, adapted to the competitive and dynamic era in which global tourism finds itself today,” stated the ANT President.
She also specified that Romania is a unique, mysterious, and distinct destination that cannot be summarized by a single tourism model, given that it allows for the practice of multiple forms of tourism on its territory, including niche ones.
In September, ANT will launch a caravan through all regions of the country together with Google Romania, the purpose of which is to train representatives of local authorities and private sector associations regarding the benefits of institutionalizing this type of public-private partnership, specified Anca Pavel-Nedea.
The ANT representative also stated that this strategy places a special emphasis on promoting Romania in the digital environment by creating integrated online campaigns, including viral campaigns and content creation activities on social networks, using the effective tools of new technologies.
