The approximately 109,000 Romanian tourists who spent their Easter and May 1st mini-break in the country’s resorts spent approximately 59.9 million RON, 12.7% more compared to the same period last year.
Over 11,650 Romanian tourists chose to spend their mini-break abroad. They spent over 2.6 million EUR, with the most sought-after destinations for the Easter and May 1st mini-break being Bulgaria, followed by Greece, Hungary, and Israel. 
At the top of Romanians’ preferences during these days were rural resorts, with 
42,000 spots sold in rural resorts, followed by seaside resorts with 29,000 spots sold, mountain resorts with 20,000 spots sold, and spa resorts with 17,000 spots sold.
The Bran-Moeciu area, Bucovina, and Maramures were the most sought-after rural destinations, with rates between 100 and 300 RON/person/night. The most popular mountain resorts were those in the Prahova Valley and Poiana Brasov, where accommodation cost between 100-500 RON/person/night.
Tourists arriving at the seaside spent approximately 19 million RON in 3 days on accommodation and meal packages alone.
Approximately 1,000 people, tourists passionate about fishing and looking for something unique, chose to spend the Easter and May 1st mini-break in the Danube Delta.
