According to Litoralulromanesc.ro, Romanians have started booking seaside stays for the next summer season, benefiting from discounts of up to 50% for packages purchased by December 31.
The decision is based on the fact that tourists who visited the seaside this season did not contract Covid-19 during their vacation, according to a press release, and observed that most hotels complied with the rules imposed by authorities for protection.
Bookings for the summer of 2021 began as early as August, though insignificant in volume, but their number increased in September and October with the launch of the first offers for 2021.
For the most part, rates will be maintained at last summer’s levels, and where they have increased, the services included in the package have also diversified. For most hotels, however, the discounts during this period are higher than in the same period last year.
If the stay is purchased by December 31, the discount can reach 50%. The next threshold, with slightly smaller discounts, will end on January 31.
The tour operator has launched two programs for vacation bookings: Early Booking – the classic program, which offers the largest discounts, but stays must be paid in advance by the offer’s expiration date; and Flexible Early Booking, which involves only paying a deposit, which is refundable until January 31 or March 31, after which the balance is paid 60 days before the start of the stay.
For both programs, stays can be canceled at any time with cancellation insurance that also includes the risk associated with Covid-19 infection, and 20% of tourists have already taken out these insurances.
The tour operator expects an intensification of demand in the next two months, considering that most offers for next year have already been launched by November 1.
