In the meeting on November 12, the Government adopted the memorandum establishing the state aid scheme for granting grants to the HoReCa industry, grants covering 20% of the difference between the turnover recorded in 2020 compared to 2019.
”In the HoReCa area, besides the measures we have adopted, we will introduce a form of state aid that we have seen is already used in two European countries. It is a scheme where you compensate the loss by compensating 20% of the loss in turnover compared to 2019. Effectively, money is given, 20% of the loss in turnover,” stated Prime Minister Ludovic Orban. The condition is that the money thus reimbursed by the state be invested in the business, not withdrawn as dividends.
After the approval of the memorandum, the Executive will adopt, in one of the future meetings, the emergency ordinance for the application of the scheme.
