The Prime Minister stated that he is not giving up on the idea of transforming the National Authority for Tourism into a public-private partnership institution, even if the operation will bring the Court of Accounts “on his head,” arguing that this is the only solution for promoting tourism. He estimated that this solution will help Romania efficiently utilize its tourism potential.
Two months ago, Ponta announced that the Government is considering the possibility of establishing a Public-Private Promotion Office in tourism, through which projects in the field could be promoted more efficiently compared to the inevitably bureaucratic actions of the administration.
