Paravion acquires online travel agency Bavul.com, entering the Turkish market

The online travel agency Paravion, backed by the investment fund GED Capital, has expanded its business into the Turkish market following the acquisition of Bavul.com, previously owned by Turkcell, the largest Turkish telecom operator.
Bavul.com was founded by Turkcell in October 2011. Turkcell strongly supported the growth of Bavul.com, which today translates into a customer base including over 300,000 Turkish users.
Paravion will conduct its activities in Turkey under the Bavul.com brand, which is already well-known in the Turkish online travel market.
Juan Antonio Carrasco Ferrer, CEO of Paravion, stated that last year Paravion’s regional expansion generated an online business growth of over 60%, and after the acquisition of Bavul.com, Paravion aims for online sales of over 40 million EUR for the entire year of 2015.
