Nordis Owner Invests €100M in New Mamaia Residential Complex

Businessman Emanuel Postoaca, founder of the Nordis real estate group, is preparing to start construction this year on a new exclusive residential complex featuring approximately 1,000 apartments with hotel services in Mamaia. The investment is estimated between €90 and €100 million, with funding for the works to be secured from sales and the developer’s own resources.

The project will be located on a plot of approximately 18,800 sqm, adjacent to the Nordis Mamaia complex, which is currently under construction.

The project complements Nordis Mamaia, designed to be the largest hotel in Romania with 746 rooms, scheduled to open at the end of this year, additionally featuring two buildings with 613 apartments.

Nordis Mamaia consists of two buildings dedicated to the hotel and two buildings for apartments. The new project may include between 4 and 6 buildings entirely dedicated to apartments.

The investor is still working on finalizing the urban planning concept for the future project. Commercial spaces will be developed on the ground floor of the buildings, which will remain under Nordis ownership and be leased to retailers.

Emanuel Postoaca aims to expand the Nordis hotel chain in the tourist areas of Mamaia, Sinaia, Brasov, Busteni, and Baile Felix, following investments exceeding €200 million.

Recently, the investor launched the construction of Nordis Brasov, which will feature 158 hotel rooms and 43 apartments, with a market value of €31 million.

Also under construction is Nordis Sinaia, which will offer 164 hotel rooms and 63 apartments, with a market value of €35 million.

The company also owns land in Busteni, where it plans to build a similar complex with over 200 rooms, and one in Bucharest, where it intends to start construction this year on either a 5-star hotel with approximately 100 rooms or an apartment building, a decision to be made soon.

The businessman is also negotiating the acquisition of a new plot of land in the Baile Felix resort and says he is receiving more and more land offers from across the country, which he is currently analyzing.
