A village in Alba County will benefit from an investment worth several million RON for the construction of a salt bath and mud pool complex for leisure. The investment is set to take place in the village of Ocnișoara, Lopadea Nouă commune.
The investment in Ocnișoara is intended to be linked to the one at Băile Sărate Ocna Mureș, located approximately 30 km away, which is very close to being inaugurated.
The targeted site is a 26,367 sqm plot of land; currently, the land features a saltwater lake, a saltwater well (Murătoarea), surface mud, a sand plateau, and a stream crossing the site.
The leisure area will feature nine water and mud lakes, a restaurant, playgrounds, a greenhouse, a salt square, a recreation area, a volleyball court, a mini-beach, and green spaces. The maximum capacity of the leisure facility is 600 people, and the project includes around 150 parking spaces.
