The Republic of Moldova is present at the 70th edition of EXPOVINA Zürich, one of the most prestigious wine fairs in Europe, held on the shores of Lake Zürich. The participation, considered by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry as an important step to strengthen the country’s position on the international market, aims to expand trade contacts and promote Moldovan wines in Central Europe.
The event, recognized for its unique format, takes place at Bürkliplatz, aboard 10 ships and a ferry converted into tasting spaces. The jubilee edition brings together more than 200 exhibitors from 28 countries, presenting over 4,000 wines to an audience of sommeliers, distributors, wine critics and wine enthusiasts. The Moldovan delegation includes representatives of Gitana Winery 1953 and MoldoWein, which promotes the Purcari Wines portfolio. Attending the fair gives local producers a platform to demonstrate their quality and establish contacts with importers and distributors. EXPOVINA’s program includes themed tastings, masterclasses, culinary pairing sessions and the “EXPOVINA Wine Trophy” competition.
