Moldova enhances its economic presence in Switzerland

The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Zurich marked a year and a half of activity by promoting economic, tourism, and investment opportunities in the Swiss market. The results were presented by Honorary Consul Valentina Ceban during the Diaspora Forum, an event held in Chisinau that brought together over 500 Moldovans from abroad, officials, and business representatives.

According to data provided by MOLDPRES, among the main actions of the diplomatic mission was the organization of an economic forum in March of this year, focused on presenting investment opportunities in the Republic of Moldova and attracting Swiss capital. Additionally, efforts were undertaken to promote the country as a tourist destination, in collaboration with the National Tourism Office and the National Association for Inbound Tourism.

Currently, the consulate’s activity is focused on expanding Moldovan exports to the Swiss market, particularly dried fruits and nuts. At the same time, a priority direction is the promotion of domestic IT services.
