Less than 30% of seaside hotels will be open for Easter and May 1st

About 80 hotels out of the total of over 300 existing on the coast will be open for Easter and May 1st, the most sought-after resorts being Mamaia and Vama Veche, followed by Eforie Nord.
Compared to May 1st last year, the number of tourists present on the Coast will be 25% higher, according to a study by Litoralulromanesc.ro.
70% of those arriving on the Coast come between April 26-29, the rest arrive either after Easter, between April 29 – May 2, or stay from April 26 to May 2.
The most crowded resort will be Mamaia, followed by Vama Veche, where accommodation structures will have an occupancy rate close to 100%. Eforie Nord follows, and at the opposite pole is Saturn. For the entire Romanian coast, the average occupancy rate of hotels open during this period will be approximately 70%.
Ionut Nedea, CEO of Litoralulromanesc.ro, stated that more and more bookings are coming from abroad and have come to occupy around 7% of the total, even if most of them are made by Romanians working across borders.
Events organized on the coast, club entertainment, and very low accommodation and meal prices compared to other destinations also attract foreigners, especially from Great Britain, Spain, Italy, or Israel.
A stay during this period costs from 63 RON/room/day in the Eforie Sud resort and reaches up to 600 RON/room/day in Mamaia, but average accommodation prices in the Mamaia resort do not exceed 180 RON/room/day.
