Last week, the Romanian Tourism Fair took place at Romexpo

Between February 16-19, the 37th edition of the Romanian Tourism Fair took place at Romexpo, bringing together 250 travel agencies and tour operators from 14 countries – Austria, Bulgaria, Egypt, Croatia, the Russian Federation, Greece, Israel, Moldova, Palestine, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Romania, Turkey, and Hungary, and from Romania.
On average, the discounts announced during this period by the participating agencies are between 25 and 35%, but there are also situations where a stay can be purchased with a larger discount, namely 40 – 50%.
Romanians are starting to place a great emphasis on holiday safety and are carefully choosing the agencies or booking sites to which they give money in advance or for the entire stay, especially after recent market events and insolvencies.
The most requested destinations are Greece – Thassos, Halkidiki, Crete, Rhodes, Corfu, Zakynthos, Spain – Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and Mallorca. The Bulgarian and Romanian coasts, as well as exotic destinations, are also among the top preferences.
