Entrepreneur Ionuț Angheluș from Bacău, one of the most important real estate developers in Brașov, is set to invest EUR 120 million in a multifunctional complex that will include a hotel, an office building, and a 20-story tower, which will be the tallest residential building in Brașov.
The hotel will be operated under the Marriott brand; the company has signed the franchise agreement for this hotel chain and it will feature 161 rooms. This is set to be the first Marriott hotel in Brașov, built on the former Prefa industrial site, where the Urban Plaza residential complex is currently being developed.
Construction has already begun and is scheduled for completion in 2026.
Ionuț Angheluș is the manager of the developer Urban Invest, the firm developing Urban Plaza. Additionally, the ground floor will house a food court, as well as cafes and banking centers.
