On July 2, in Poiana Brasov, during an event, the launch of the first series of courses at the Ohma Brasov hotel academy was announced. It was established by the Swiss educational group winsedswiss (World Institute of Service Education), under the license of Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL).
The first series of courses will begin on July 12, with the “Hotel Administration” professional training program, “Beginner” module. Students will be able to deepen their theoretical knowledge through practice, following the principles of the Swiss dual education system.
The school will operate within the Ohma Hotel (formerly Casa Viorel) in Poiana Brasov, a unit taken over for management by winsedswiss.
Within the Ohma academies, vocational programs can be completed that ensure the qualification and specialization of trainees in four professional fields – Culinary, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office, and Hotel Administration. To obtain the Professional Diploma, it is necessary to complete three independent modules, each lasting 6 months, corresponding to the level of preparation and experience of each candidate – Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced – whose graduation is certified by VET by EHL (Vocational Education and Training by Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne).
Individuals who already have experience in the field of interest can enroll directly in the intermediate or advanced modules, without completing the beginner one, by equating their accumulated experience. Within the academy, courses are held in English; therefore, students are required to have at least a B2 conversational level.
