The Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Constantin-Daniel Cadariu, stated that starting December 14, payment agreements for the HoReCa program have been sent, while payments will be made starting Monday, December 20.
“The total amount allocated for this scheme is 2.5 billion lei, and the total number of applicants was over 10,000. After analysis, 8,300 entrepreneurs were accepted,” the minister stated on the Talk News show on Profit TV, specifying that for HoReCa, an aid of 20% is provided, representing the difference between the 2019 turnover compared to that of 2020.
“This year, the sum of 1 billion lei will be paid to HoReCa entrepreneurs, with the difference of approximately 1.2 billion lei to be paid at the beginning of next year, in accordance with the number of files submitted and approved,” Constantin-Daniel Cadariu added.
Another important news item is related to the HORECA aid scheme, which could be resumed in 2022.
In a televised statement, Minister Daniel Cadariu specified that tourism representatives pointed out that businesses also suffered in 2021 due to measures imposed against the coronavirus and that a second stage of the aid scheme for the hospitality sector is being considered.
“As a novelty – in discussions with those in the tourism sector, they pointed out that in 2021 as well, they were affected by the restrictive measures imposed by the evolution of this virus. This is why we are considering and taking into account that during next year we should think about the second stage of the HoReCa aid scheme, also depending on the budget possibilities. I am thinking somewhere after the mid-year rectification,” Minister Daniel Cadariu stated on Wednesday evening on TVR 1.
“This is the requirement, this is what we are analyzing. It is a very probable working hypothesis. I don’t want to advance certainties, but only the fact that this was pointed out to us and we have it in mind for the second half of 2022. Depending on how the economy goes, but the chances are high,” Cadariu also stated.
