Happy Tour Group: 40% turnover growth in 2015

Happy Tour Group, owned by the GED investment fund and comprising Happy, Paravion, and Prestige Tours, recorded a turnover of 94 million EUR last year, a 40% increase compared to 2014. 
The Happy Tour travel agency recorded a 16% increase in turnover in 2015, and the number of the group’s business clients increased by 23%.
Growth was also recorded in the travel segment, which represents 34% of the company’s business. The number of tourists increased by 20% compared to the previous year, and most chose destinations such as Turkey, Greece, and Spain.
Charters operated by the group’s tour operator, Prestige Tours, recorded an occupancy rate of 93% in 2015, up from 80-82% in 2014.
Asked by ECONOMICA.NET if Prestige Tours is still part of the Happy Tour group, following recent press reports that the GED investment fund sold the agency to the Turkish tour operator Calypso Tour, Javier Garcia del Valle stated that „Prestige is still part of Happy Tour Group. We want to sell the companies, we will sell them, but today (January 26, 2016 – ed. note) Happy Tour owns Prestige Tours.” 
Additionally, online bookings within the group increased by over 250% in 2015.
In 2015, the group decided to increase Happy Tour’s share capital to over 3 million EUR.
