In these days, deputies will debate and approve one of the most publicized draft laws targeting the HORECA sector.
At the Committee for Budget, Finance, and Banks of the Chamber of Deputies, led by Bogdan Huțucă, the draft law regarding the fiscalization of tips for those in the HORECA sector is under debate. Among those who support and requested in writing, on 11.12.2022, the fiscalization of tips, is the General Union of Industrialists in Romania-UGIR.
At the same time, over several years, both FPTR and the HORA Employers’ Organization have requested the Government and Parliament to fiscalize and tax tips, without assimilating these amounts into salary income.
Calculations made by representatives of the employers’ associations in this sector estimate an increase in budget revenues from taxing these amounts of approximately 5-7 mil EUR.
