Dolj County Council Launches Tourism Strategy Through 2027

Dolj County Council has launched the strategy for tourism development and promotion in the county, targeting the main directions of action until 2027.

During this meeting, the President of the Dolj County Council, Cosmin Vasile, stated that the tourism strategy has outlined a portfolio of over 200 projects and actions that will support the development of this sector.

The Mayor of Craiova, Lia Olguța Vasilescu, stated that the tourism promotion of the county should not be detached from what tourism means in the Oltenia region. Craiova is attracting more and more tourists, and in the coming period, the municipality intends to increase tourist interest by creating three new parks: Dracula Park, Fantasy Park, and Valea Șarpelui Park, as well as a Fan Zone as an extension of the historical center.

The tourism strategy is a premiere document developed at the Dolj county level and was created within the project “Strategic Development and Administrative Efficiency – Dolj County,” with a total value of 1.7 million RON, implemented by the County Council with European funds obtained through the Administrative Capacity Operational Program 2014 – 2020.

Also as part of this endeavor, the Dolj County Development Strategy for the 2021 – 2027 period was completed, and the online platform was expanded with a new section.
