ANA Hotels Group has undertaken a program to modernize the food & beverage facilities at two of its flagship properties in Bucharest, Crowne Plaza and Athénée Palace InterContinental. The investments focused on re-equipping the kitchen areas and several bars to optimize operational flows and bring them in line with today’s luxury market standards.
The large-scale project took place at the Athénée Palace, where a complex reconfiguration of the main kitchen and four bars was implemented. The execution strategy included both the integration of new equipment and the retention of certain functional machinery to optimize costs. Upgraded areas in the kitchen include the pastry, cold and hot kitchen.
In addition, the investment covered the complete refitting of the following bars:
- English Bar with a classic design.
- The live cooking area in the JORJ restaurant, equipped with Electrolux Professional equipment.
- A new specialized Sushi Bar.
- Roberto’s Bar, furnished with Italian-made stainless steel furniture and cooling systems.
The implementation of these modernizations was carried out by the specialized company SDS Group. This extended collaboration at the Athénée Palace follows a similar project previously completed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, owned by the same hotel group.
These investments reflect a trend in the 5-star hotel market, where constant modernization of the F&B infrastructure is key to maintaining competitiveness and improving the guest experience.
