Construction Works Increased by 19.7%

In February 2015, the volume of construction works increased compared to the previous month both as a gross series and as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality by 24.3% and 5.3%, respectively. Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the volume of construction works increased as a gross series by 19.7%, and as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, it increased by 17.7%.

In the period from January 1 to February 28, 2015, the volume of construction works increased compared to the period from January 1 to February 28, 2014, both as a gross series and as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality by 14.8% and 14.7%, respectively.

February 2015 compared to January 2015

The volume of construction works increased as a gross series by 24.3%, a growth highlighted in maintenance and current repair works by 44.5% and in new construction works by 27.1%. Capital repair works decreased by 23.4%. By construction objects, increases occurred as follows: civil engineering works by 33.7%, non-residential buildings by 20.9%, and residential buildings by 6.0%. As a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, an overall increase of 5.3% was recorded, highlighted in maintenance and current repair works by 11.8% and in new construction works by 7.0%. Capital repair works decreased by 26.7%. By construction objects, increases were recorded in civil engineering works by 11.5% and in non-residential buildings by 2.0%. Residential buildings decreased by 14.1%.

February 2015 compared to February 2014

The volume of construction works increased as a gross series by 19.7%. By structural elements, increases occurred in new construction works and maintenance and current repair works by 24.8% each. Capital repair works decreased by 19.5%. By construction objects, non-residential buildings and civil engineering works increased by 38.1% and 20.2%, respectively. Residential buildings decreased by 9.2%. As a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works increased by 17.7%. By structural elements, increases were recorded in new construction works by 24.1% and in maintenance and current repair works by 23.3%. Capital repair works decreased by 13.2%. By construction objects, the volume of construction works increased for non-residential buildings and civil engineering works by 38.7% and 6.7%, respectively. Residential buildings decreased by 8.2%.

The volume of construction works increased overall, as a gross series, by 14.8%. By structural elements, increases occurred in new construction works by 20.2% and in maintenance and current repair works by 8.3%. Capital repair works decreased by 2.0%. By construction objects, increases occurred as follows: non-residential buildings by 31.2%, residential buildings by 12.3%, and civil engineering works by 6.3%.

As a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works increased overall by 14.7%. By structural elements, increases were recorded as follows: new construction works by 20.7%, maintenance and current repair works by 11.2%, and capital repair works by 3.1%. By construction objects, the volume of construction works increased for non-residential buildings and residential buildings by 31.9% and 13.8%, respectively. Civil engineering works decreased by 1.3%.
