City Grill expands the Caru’ cu Bere brand to Brasov in 2026, taking over the former Cerbul Carpatin restaurant space

City Grill Group, one of the most important operators in the local hospitality industry, will expand the Caru’ cu Bere brand outside the capital, with the opening of the first restaurant in the province scheduled for 2026, in Brasov. This strategic move represents a significant milestone in the evolution of the local HoReCa market, marking the entry of a historic brand in one of Romania’s most important tourist and gastronomic centers.

The new restaurant will occupy the emblematic space of the former local Cerbul Carpatin, a building with historical value located in the central area of the city, near the Council Square. The investment project involves extensive restoration works of the building and its adaptation to the specific visual and architectural concept of Caru’ cu Bere, recognized for its traditional brewery atmosphere and spectacular decor. The establishment will have a capacity of over 200 seats and will maintain its established gastronomic line, based on reinterpreted Romanian cuisine and traditional dishes, complemented by artistic events targeting both the tourist segment and the local public. The entry of this major player on the Brasov market is expected to intensify competition in the restaurant sector in the historical center.
