Businessman Nicolae Bucovală Invested €7 Million in Renovations and Services

Businessman Nicolae Bucovală, who owns the Steaua de Mare hotel complex in Eforie Nord, the Tomis hotels in Mamaia, and Oltenia in Olimp, says that investments made in renovations and services are attracting tourists to the units he owns on the Romanian seaside. At the beginning of this year, he added the three-star Pam Beach hotel, formerly Muntenia, in Olimp, acquired from the Borcea family, to his portfolio.

“I invested a total of €7 million in renovations and services. Without investments, you don’t attract tourists. I also brought the all-inclusive concept to Olimp. If you know how to do all-inclusive well, tourists come. In Eforie Nord and Olimp, we have almost all rooms occupied. In Mamaia, at the Tomis hotel, there is a lower occupancy rate of 85%,” Nicolae Bucovală, owner of the Steaua de Mare complex in Eforie Nord, told ZF.

An all-inclusive stay of six nights at the Delfinul hotel within the Steaua de Mare complex costs 6,500 RON for two adults in July.

The businessman adopted the all-inclusive system in 2014 to attract more tourists. Nicolae Bucovală is one of the hoteliers on the coast who purchased hotels built during the communist era but invested in their modernization.
