Last year, Bulgaria was visited by 8.88 million people, an increase of 7.6% compared to 2016. The majority of foreign tourists (1.16 million people) came from Greece, followed by Romanians, Germans, Turks, and Russians.
Romania was the second source of foreign tourists for Bulgaria last year, with 1.14 million people arriving in the neighboring country’s resorts.
