Bogdan Trif claims the seaside is one of the Ministry of Tourism’s priorities

The Minister of Tourism, Bogdan Trif, claims that the seaside represents one of the priorities of the ministry he leads and that in recent years it has not functioned at maximum capacity, but there is great potential.

On April 23, the minister participated on Monday in a working meeting organized by the Constanța County Council in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, on the topic of opening the summer season, with tourism investors, local authorities, and representatives of control institutions present at the event.

He specified that control teams from the ministry have come to the seaside, initially to carry out only prevention activities, after which they will remain here throughout the summer season.

“Following the sometimes heated but constructive discussions, I have reached the conclusion that tourism on the Black Sea coast has nevertheless grown from year to year. We have hotel units, accommodation units that are extremely well-organized, we also have public catering units that can rival absolutely any other units from countries developed in terms of tourism, so we cannot complain about this. We have investors who want to continue here, moreover, to increase their investments, and for this, they need the support of local authorities,” Minister Trif stated.
