AnimaWings expands its network and operates 12 new routes

Romania’s AnimaWings carried more than 300,000 passengers between June and August on around 2,000 domestic and international flights. Paris, Stockholm and Larnaca were among the most popular destinations. Average aircraft occupancy was 80%.

The passenger profile shows an increased interest in mobility: 95% of international travelers chose cabin baggage only, included in the ticket price. Hot catering, premium seats and the possibility to fly with pets were among the preferred services.

Paris, Stockholm, Larnaca, Larnaca, Ibiza and Cluj topped the summer regular routes, while charters included Antalya, Crete, Tenerife, Kefalonia and Hurghada.

From this fall, the airline is launching 12 new routes connecting Bucharest, Timisoara, Craiova, Cluj and Iasi with European and Middle Eastern destinations including Munich, Prague, Sofia, Tel Aviv, Istanbul and Dubai.

For September-December, AnimaWings expects to operate more than 2,500 flights and double the number of passengers compared to the summer season.

The company’s fleet is made up of Airbus A220 airplanes, which have been delivered since December 2024. A fifth aircraft will be delivered in the coming weeks, and the expansion plan calls for a total of 12 units by the end of 2026.

Founded in 2020 and part of the Memento Group (together with Christian Tour), AnimaWings is aiming to strengthen its position on the regional market by expanding its network and modernizing its fleet.
