In Ocna Mures, a salt bath resort is being built
The total investment for the construction of the salt bath resort in the town of Ocna Mures amounts to 35 million EUR.
On June 30, 2022, resolutions were adopted for the establishment of a company that will manage the new resort.
Nearly 6.7 million EUR will be invested in construction, while 1 million EUR will be allocated for interior fittings, specialized medical equipment, and Horeca facilities.
The Ocna Mures Local Council and the Alba County Council will have equal financial participation.
The new tourist destination will be completed in August or September.
At the beginning of July, an electrical power transformer also arrived in Ocna Mures.
The Ocna Mures facility will be a significant objective for both the treatment and leisure sectors.
The Alba County Council will also redevelop the Ocnisoara Salt Baths for leisure purposes.
The surface area of the Treatment Base in Ocna Mures is 6,400 sqm, featuring three indoor and three outdoor pools with fresh and salt water, a fitness area, a restaurant, a mud treatment room, and areas for physiotherapy and medical recovery, where up to 700 procedures per day can be performed during the summer.
The spa complex is equipped with laser therapy devices, ultrasound therapy, magnetotherapy, a robotic system for lower limb recovery, an electrotherapy tub, and a mud bath tub.
Additionally, there is a children’s play center and pool, a six-person jacuzzi, and four treadmills.
The parking lot offers 82 spaces, including one for bicycles.
The sports complex surrounding the Spa Center will be completed this year.
The National Investment Company (CNI) contributed 15 million RON. The Ocna Mures City Hall also supported the investment.
An area of over 40,000 sqm has been allocated for the sports and relaxation zone.
