Zeus International Group acquires Opera, Venezia, and Central hotels in Bucharest

The Greek hotel group Zeus International has purchased the Opera, Venezia, and Central hotels in the capital, planning to invest in the extensive renovation of the buildings and intending to transform them into the most important boutique hotels in Romania.

The Zeus Group has been managing the three hotels since September 2015, which were owned by Alpha Real Estate, part of the Greek financial group Alpha Bank. During this time, Zeus increased operating profits eightfold, and has now acquired them, expanding its portfolio.

Zeus also operates in Greece, with the Grand Wyndham hotels in Karaiskaki Square (Athens), Wyndham Loutraki Poseidon Resort Ramada (Loutraki), and K29 (Athens), and is also present in Cyprus, Italy, and Bulgaria.

In the spring of 2018, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts decided to expand its presence in Romania after signing a strategic alliance with Zeus.
