Wolff Werner-Wilhelm is the new interim general manager of TAROM
On November 20, the Board of Directors of TAROM appointed Wolff Werner-Wilhelm as the interim general manager of the company for a four-month mandate.
Wolff Werner-Wilhelm is the fifth interim general manager to lead the company in 2017, replacing Ileana Daniela Dragne, who resigned on November 15, citing personal reasons.
Daniela Dragne had replaced Florin Susanu, who was preceded by Dan Plaveti and Eugen Davidoiu.
TAROM is undergoing a process of reevaluation and reorganization following several incidents involving the company’s aircraft and an announcement regarding projected losses this year estimated at 207 million RON.
In the rectified budget project, TAROM has projected losses of 206.793 million RON, five times higher than the 41.21 million RON in the budget published in September in the Official Gazette.
According to the project released for debate on the ministry’s website, the company’s total revenues are projected at 1.149 billion RON, and expenses at 1.356 billion RON. In the approved budget, revenues totaled 1.24 billion RON, and expenses 1.281 billion RON.
For investments, the project provides for an amount of 262.198 million RON, compared to 267.795 million RON in the approved budget.
In 2016, TAROM recorded a loss of over 46.9 million RON, an increase of 71.2% compared to 2015, according to the balance sheet published on the Ministry of Public Finance website.
