Unita Turism Holding Timișoara has sold the Fântânele complex, located on the shores of Lake Beliș, which has now entered the portfolio of Transilvania Quest Cluj. The transaction amounted to 5 million EUR. The complex will be modernized, with the new owner currently in negotiations to bring it under the Hilton brand.
The tourist facility consists of two pavilions, two restaurants, three villas, and a 63,000 sqm plot of land. The site was built in 1974 and renovated in 2005.
The buyer of the tourist unit is the company that owns the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, controlled by IT entrepreneur Laurențiu Russo.
Laurențiu Russo founded the IT company Softvision, which was sold in 2018 to the American group Cognizant for 550 million USD. He acquired the City Plaza Hotel for 10 million EUR from Sorin Dan and converted it into a DoubleTree by Hilton.
