The TopHotel Awards competition returns in 2026 to honor excellence in the Romanian hotel, tourism and hospitality sector. The event, organized by Evensys, aims to recognize performance and innovation in the industry, with the awards gala scheduled for 26 May at the JW Marriott Hotel in Bucharest.
The registration process for the competition is open until March 8, and participation is free of charge by filling in the form available on the official platform of the event. This year’s edition comprises a total of 37 categories, structured to cover all key areas of the industry, from accommodation and culinary experiences to investment and professional excellence. Hotels, inns, hostels, restaurants, travel agencies, as well as teams or professionals who have made significant contributions in the past year are invited to participate.
The categories are divided into distinct sections such as Business & Conference, Leisure, Lifestyle Experiences, Investment, Tourism and Professional Excellence. Among the awards to be presented are titles such as Hotel of the Year (for various classifications and typologies), Best Resort, Transaction of the Year, General Manager of the Year and Young Travel Entrepreneur of the Year. The competition also emphasizes sustainability and innovation with awards such as “Best Green & Eco-friendly Location” and “Best Investment in Innovation and Technology”. The TopHotel Awards is organized by Evensys, a company with 20 years of experience in developing its own conferences and seminars on topics relevant to the local and regional business industry.
