Therme Bucharest Reaches 3.5 Million Total Visitors

Therme Nord Bucuresti SRL, the company owning and operating the eponymous aquapark in Balotesti—one of the largest wellness, relaxation, and entertainment centers based on thermal waters in Europe—substantially increased its profit last year, practically tripling its net gain compared to 2017, from 2.8 million RON to 8.9 million RON, following losses of approximately 20.3 million RON in its first year of operation. 
The aquapark has surpassed the threshold of 3.5 million total clients, of whom approximately 30% are foreign visitors.
“The international popularity of our center generates a significant and growing percentage of visitors from the Balkans, UK, Germany, Italy, Austria, Israel etc. With a total investment value of over 100 million EUR and with more than 500 employees, the Therme Bucharest complex has surpassed the threshold of 3.5 million clients, of whom about 30% are foreign visitors,” stated Andrada Seitan, Chief Communications Officer of Therme Bucharest.
The center’s capacity is 4,000 simultaneous indoor visitors. Depending on the chosen zone, the average budget spent by a family varies. 
Therme Bucharest ended 2018 with a turnover of 114 million RON, a 14% increase compared to the previous year, according to figures published by the Ministry of Finance.
The complex has 500 employees and operates 365 days a year.
