The thermal spa in Livada de Bihor, located near Oradea, has become an attraction for tourists from all over the world this summer. It was built in 1983, but since the early 2000s, no one maintained it and it fell into disrepair. In 2020, Traian Todea took over the site and began modernizing it.
“We renovated the old pool, and the one here is a pool more for children that we built from scratch. The maximum depth is 1.20m, while the large pool is 1.40m. The water in both pools has a temperature between 35 and 38 degrees,” explains Traian Todea, the complex administrator.
Both pools operate on geothermal water, which emerges from a depth of 2,900m at a temperature of 98 degrees. The water’s therapeutic properties help solve dermatological, gynecological, or rheumatic problems.
The entire site has been equipped with sunbeds and four cabins where tourists can stay.
The spa is open throughout the week, except Mondays, even during winter. So far, in its four years of operation, the spa has been visited by thousands of tourists from around the world, especially since there are also camping spots for those coming with motorhomes.
The food also attracts visitors here. To capture as many customers as possible, the cooks prepare everything, including more sophisticated menus based on their own recipes, while live Bihor music and dance performed by the poolside also contribute to a truly summery atmosphere.
