ANA Hotels representatives announced the completion of the first stage of the Athenee Palace Hilton renovation process, specifically the “New Wing” with its 132 rooms.
The investment in the renovation and modernization of the historic monument hotel in the center of the capital was initially estimated at 25 million EUR, but it is expected that by the end of the project, it will reach 30 million EUR. The value of the first stage of the renovation project reached 13 million EUR.
The first part of the renovation project took place in less than six months, with the investment beneficiaries considering last year the perfect time for the works, as, in the context of the pandemic, the hotel’s occupancy rate was below 10%.
The new wing will be put into operation this year, and the second stage of the rehabilitation process, which includes the restoration of the hotel’s exterior, will be launched in October 2021 and is expected to be completed within nine months.
The new look of the Athenee Palace Hilton rooms is based on a contemporary, elegant design concept, yet complementary to the hotel’s history of over 107 years.
Supporting the hotel industry in redefining sustainable travel, through this project, Athenee Palace Hilton aimed to minimize thermal losses by completely redesigning the water supply systems, air conditioning, and all exterior and interior joinery.
