The conflict at Romania’s borders is affecting both hoteliers and travel agencies.

Uncertainty is the watchword regarding tourism in our country in the immediate future. Black Sea cruises could be blocked, and foreigners who have arrived in our country in the last 5 days say they were on the verge of canceling their vacations.

Corina Martin, president of the RESTO Constanta Employers’ Association, stated: “We cannot think about the summer season; we are all waiting for the situation to return to normal. Currently, our tour operators say that no cancellations have been recorded, but the situation can change from one day to the next.”

Most tourists are expected to arrive at the seaside during the Easter and May 1st mini-break. Foreign tourists come to the coast specifically for the electronic music festival scheduled to take place from April 28 to May 4, which is expected to host no fewer than 15,000 participants.

The streets of the Old Town, once filled with hundreds of foreign tourists, are now deserted. The lack of visitors is also felt in restaurants, where barely a few tables are occupied.
