Suddenly, a woman in a green swimsuit, all double chin and folds, like the Michelin man, carrying two bags as big as a car trunk, took a leap and jumped into a bush as nimble as a teenager. But before that, she screamed as if she had come belly-to-belly with a hippopotamus:
– Good heavens, the dog! We were with the dog, my friend and I. She was holding it on a leash and we were walking towards a hotel somewhere in the south of the seaside. They were coming from the front and there were three of them: first the man, short, round, and with thin limbs, like a pan with four handles. A wide neck and a round head, the size of a fist, several sizes smaller than his body, as boys who pump iron daily usually have. He was bald and wore a minuscule, stripper-like swimsuit, which he kept touching in the front to make sure whatever he was hiding there was still alive. Behind him hopped the child, around 10-12 years old, freckled and cheeky, kicking trash cans under the proud gaze of his mother, who probably imagined she had brought the new Messi into the world. The wife brought up the rear, more voluminous than the man and seemingly a bit taller, just like with insects, where females are larger than males. Perhaps that’s why she was carrying the two bags with the child’s toys and other gear from the beach, while the man had limited himself to carrying a smoking cigarette.
