The participation is part of an effort to improve tourism promotion of Bucovina, recognizing the need for a stronger online presence and diversification of the offer.
The event, now in its 31st year, is considered the largest of its kind in Poland and is held at the PTAK Warsaw Expo Exhibition Center. The Business-to-Consumer (B2C) fair brings together more than 500 exhibitors from 56 countries and expects more than 22 000 visitors. Suceava County will be co-exhibitor at the Romanian national stand of 105 m², located in Hall D (D1.28), at the invitation of the Ministry of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism. The county delegation will be led by the Vice President of the County Council, Nicolae Robu, and consists of representatives of the County Council’s tourism service, a Polish-language translator from Dom Polski Suceava and representatives of local producers from the Association of Ecotourism “Țara Dornelor” and the Association for the Promotion of Cultural Tourism. Vice-President Robu’s agenda includes bilateral meetings with local authorities from Poland and other regions to develop partnerships. He underlined the importance of the Polish community in Suceava as a part of Bucovina’s identity and as a tourist attraction, noting that steps are underway to operationalize the Destination Management Organization (DMO) Bucovina. At the stand, Bucovina will be promoted through informative materials and culinary demonstrations, which will include tastings of traditional products such as meat dishes, cheeses, craft beer and truffle specialties.
