The Ramada-Majestic Hotel in Bucharest, a 4-star establishment owned by the Turkish group Ener Holding, has been sold to Visionapartments, a company primarily specialized in renting apartments and office spaces.
Built before the First World War, and serving as a host for the actors and props of the National Theatre after its building was bombed by the American air force during the Second World War, it became the first hotel in the country affiliated with the American brand Ramada in the 1990s.
Classified at 4 stars, the unit features 111 rooms, 450 sqm of event space, a swimming pool, and 2 conference rooms.
“Regarding the strategy for the hotel, the plan is to adjust it according to the Visionapartments concept – furnished apartments with a wide range of services. Visionapartments services vary from building to building, depending on existing facilities. For this property, the wellness and spa area will most likely be kept, and shared office areas with a common kitchen will be created. Additionally, our own gastronomy concept will be implemented. However, plans are not yet finalized and could change along the way, with the further development of this property,” stated the buyer’s representatives.
The new owner is also considering a renovation of the hotel.
“Regarding investments, several investments will be made for a light renovation, aimed at adapting the hotel to the Visionapartments brand. The objective is to reopen the hotel under our own brand as soon as possible. A renovation of the hotel is also being considered, with the project to be planned in detail, building permits obtained, and investments made accordingly,” they added.
