State-Funded Participation for Entrepreneurs at Tourism Fairs

Tourism entrepreneurs can access a de minimis aid scheme to participate in international exhibitions, both domestically and abroad, within national pavilions, specialized stands, or mini-exhibitions overseas where the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism will be present.

The program aims to generate a stimulative effect for beneficiaries through subsidies granted for the promotion of tourism products and services on foreign markets.

Beneficiaries of the de minimis scheme will have their expenses reimbursed as follows:

  • 50% of expenses representing the price of external transport, not exceeding the RON equivalent of 500 EUR, calculated at the date of signing the final act regarding the provision of de minimis aid for a single representative of the economic operator;
  • 50% of expenses representing the price of the first night of accommodation, for one participant from each exhibiting economic operator, at the level of the scales established for public institutions;
  • 100% of expenses for: participation fee, rental of stand space from organizers, customization, setup, and decoration of the stand.

The total estimated value of the aids that can be granted for the current year is 7.4 million RON, from state budget funds. The average number of beneficiaries is 200 exhibitors annually.
