On August 28, the transformation of the Howard Johnson hotel in Bucharest into the first Sheraton unit in Romania will be completed. The hotel will open following an investment of approximately EUR 6 million, stated Daniel Ben-Yehuda, manager of Sheraton Bucharest Hotel.
The transformation process was launched in the fall of 2014, when the hotel chain Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide signed a franchise agreement with Grand Plaza Hotel.
Sheraton Bucharest Hotel will be classified as a 5-star hotel, featuring 270 rooms, and will also include a Sheraton Fitness gym, a reading area, and a relaxation area on the 18th floor.
The transformation process also included the lobby area, the restaurants, and the reception.
