Several economic operators have asked the Ministry of Finance to return to the legislation that gave them the right to keep the tips received by employees

Several economic operators have asked the Ministry of Finance, during a meeting, to return to regulations regarding the accounting records and the distribution method of tips.
The previous legislation regarding tips, repealed in 2015 shortly after its introduction, required tips to be highlighted in the accounting records, but also gave companies the possibility to keep these amounts if they wished.
The Ministry announced that there is no project or draft project regarding the taxation of tips at this time. At the same time, the Ministry of Finance emphasizes that the fiscal regime for amounts received as tips by individuals is already regulated, being considered income from other sources.
