Ryanair opens base in Timisoara starting November 1, 2016

The low-cost airline Ryanair is opening a base in Romania at Timisoara International Airport starting November 1, 2016, introducing both international flights from Timisoara and domestic flights on the Timisoara-Bucharest route.
From Timisoara airport, 7 new routes will be operated to Berlin, Brussels Charleroi, Dusseldorf Weeze, Frankfurt Hahn, London Stansted, Milan Bergamo, as well as a new route to Bucharest with a frequency of two flights per day.
Ryanair’s first Romanian base will serve 575,000 new customers per year and will support 430 jobs connected to the activities of Timisoara International Airport.
David O’Brien, chief commercial officer, announced that the operator is putting over 100,000 seats on sale, at fares starting from EUR 19.99 for travel in November and December, with bookings available until midnight, Tuesday, January 19.
