Ryanair: 25% net profit growth in Q2 2015

In the second quarter of this year, Ryanair’s profit increased by 25%, thus in the April – June period, net profit rose to EUR 245 million, compared to EUR 197 million in the second quarter of 2014. Analysts were expecting a gain of EUR 245.5 million.
The total number of passengers transported grew by 16% during the analyzed period, reaching 28 million. For this year, the company estimates it will transport 103 million passengers, an increase from last year when it transported 90.6 million passengers.
For the 2016 fiscal year, the airline operator expects a profit of EUR 940 – 970 million.
Revenues increased by 10% in the second quarter of 2015, reaching EUR 1.5 billion.
To meet the growing demand, Ryanair has ordered 183 Boeing 737-800 aircraft to be delivered between 2014 – 2018 and 200 Boeing 737 Max 200s aircraft between 2019 – 2023.
