The National Administration “Romanian Waters” has announced the opening of the third stage of the public auction for renting tourist beach areas at the Black Sea for the 2023 and 2024 summer seasons. In accordance with the provisions of Emergency Ordinance no. 8/March 9, 2023, authorities are targeting beach sub-sectors located in Mamaia, Constanța, Venus, Saturn, Vama Veche, and Mangalia.
The deadline for submitting offers is July 11, at 12:00 PM. In previous stages, a number of beach sectors out of the 57 put up for auction did not receive any offers, which necessitates a re-auction. According to the law, at least two offers are required for each sector. Additionally, there are beach sectors that received offers in previous stages but have not yet been awarded.
Another novelty of this stage is the auctioning of beach sectors that have not been rented previously. These beach areas represent zones for which the Dobrogea–Litoral Water Basin Administration has initiated civil actions to clear encumbrances, such as the construction of beach bars.
The public auction participation notice is available in full on the official website of the National Administration “Romanian Waters” at this link.
Following the conclusion of the auction procedure, the National Administration “Romanian Waters” will publish the results, including on the institution’s website www.rowater.ro.
